How to Join

Audition to Join Singer Stage School 2018

To join Singer Stage School this is what you have to do.

Please don’t think that you need lots of training and experience to audition. Of course that would help, but we also look for raw talent we can train.

Auditions will be held next year, May 30th 2019, save the date!

We only accept applications on the official application form.

If you would like to be considered as a student please fill out the application form and post to our office address which is on the last page of the application form. Please also send a recent photograph and any experience you may have already had. We will write to you confirming your place on the audition day as quickly as possible. Details of what will happen on audition day will be explained in full in the letter we will send you following your application form reaching our office in Westcliff. Please don’t send forms to the school. Look forward to meeting you.

During the day you will be asked (depending on age and experience) to read a poem/monologue that you supply and learn before you come and sing a short song and you will be taught a couple of dances.

We will have a choreographer set a really easy dance routine. This will give us the opportunity to see what technique and range you may have, so we can spot your potential for the future!

The audition day is really great and relaxed all we want to do is meet you. It’s always a friendly and relaxed atmosphere so please don’t worry, or be nervous about coming along. Most of you usually don’t want to go home after the morning or afternoon! Which is obviously a good sign.

At the audition you also get to meet a selection of my students and tutors who you will be able to chat to about any aspect of the school. Parents will meet with myself and during that time can ask any questions along with learning more about the school. We always have students there so you can chat to them and meet some of my fantastic tutors who will be happy to answer any questions you may have on the day.

We are especially great at offering Pre-College training for those students looking to move on to Performing Arts Colleges after A Levels. Our students have graduated and continued training at colleges such as LAMDA, Arts Ed, Bird, London Studio Centre, Mountview, Urdang, Masters to name a few.

So look out for the form, and hope to see you in May.

Students will be contacted after the audition day, usually within 14 days, to inform you if you have been offered a place to start in September. Students who are offered a place usually start training at Summer Workshops then join Stage School in September.

We all look forward to meeting you soon!

During Summer Workshops we work with the students for 3 days. Sandra is there the whole time, so it gives us a good insight as to your personality and skills. You might be talent spotted while you are there. Sandie talent spots from shows and performances she visits. this only happens NOW and THEN. She tries to go to local school productions when she can.
