Here are some of our graduates and details of what they've been up to since leaving the Singer Stage school.
Tara Young
One of our graduates Tara has just auditioned and joined the all girl dance troupe RUBY GIRLS. They recently auditioned for Britian's Got Talent and were put through to the next round, so watch this space!
Lewis Griffiths
Lewis was one of the original students at Singer Stage School and agency. Lewis joined the school to train after his first professional performance as Michael in 'Peter Pan' at the age of 11.London Studio Centre offered Lewis a scholarship place at the college and he joined them at 17. During the time Lewis was with us his credits included: Clarence in 'Whistle Down The Wind' (West End), 'Spend, Spend, Spend',Eastenders, Commercials, and numerous panto's including Dick in 'Dick Whittington'. More recently Lewis has been in 'Love Shack', 'Fame', Eurobeat, and Pricilla Queen of the Dessert in the original West End Cast.
Arati Menon
Arati started her training with us whilst she was at junior school, she is a very versatile performer, and a qualified tutor of Indian dance too. Arati's credits range from Magazine Cover Girl, to the role of Jenny Waterstone in 'The Bill' where she had to play a role that she was internet groomed, raped, hospitalised. Arati also was the featured daughter in Crimewatch (Honour killing) for the BBC, Nazeen in the N.S.P.C.C production of 'Setting the Standards' . Then on a lighter note she is a champion dancer in the Sony Boogie Woogie (Bollywood) championships. Also part of the winning team for Singer Stage School at the British Dance Awards. So you will see how versatile she is.
Sean Williams
Sean joined us at age 8 and his first role with us was as a pupil and student in the UK Tour of 'Demon Headmaster', followed by playing 'Bank Duck' at The National Theatre, London in the award winning musical 'Honk, the Ugly Ducking'. After academic college and whilst still training with us, Sean auditioned for The Urdang Academy in London and was awarded a full 3 year scholarship. He graduated in 2008. Sean's credits include Move It, 'Pippin' playing the role of Pippin, followed by a dancer in the hit Feature Film 'Mamma Mia'. In the last year of college he was asked to join the West End cast of 'Thriller', playing the lead role on numerous occasions. At the moment Sean is working as a dancer/singer on the International Tour of 'Pet Shop Boys'.
Victoria Leung
Vicky joined Singer Stage School at age 8 again one of our first students and clients at the school and agency. Within a very short time Vicky auditioned for a role in 'The Twits' which was produced by Birmingham Rep and toured the UK with the show. She has also been in the ballet 'The Nutcracker'. Vicky recently left us to further her training at Bird College with a scholarship place, she is in her final year there. Her TV credits are amazing. She has been a role in 'The Bill' playing Disa Mirandello, 'Desperados' as Lauren, 'Waterloo Road', Vicky is very much looking forward to graduating. This year she is representing Bird College in 'Move It' 2010.
Aimee Singer
Aimee has been a student at stage school since the age of 13. She graduated in 2009 after being awarded scholarships at Millennium Dance 2000 and The Urdang Academy in London where she completed her final 3 years of training. Aimee is a Member of the 'International Allstarzz' Dance Troupe, dancing at major National and International sporting events. Recent credits include feature film, 'Street Dance 3-D' and a music video for So Solid Crew. TV appearences include 'Everybody Dance Now' and for Cbeebies featured songs including The Summer Song for which she was the assistant chorographer. Other feature film credits include 'Dolphins', and Bollywood film, 'House Full'.
Steve Leeds
Steve trained with us for many years. One of Steve's first credits was on a TV soap called Bizzibrook. Steve was offered a scholarship with Masters College. Following his graduation Steve was offered a role in "Mamma Mia' tour. Which he was with for a few years. More recently Steve was in the final 7 for the role of TROY in High School Musical, which was auditioned on GMTV. Steve is in the studios at present recording, and in between still finds time to go back to play 'Pepper" in 'Mamma Mia in the UK as a guest for events such as Children in Need, and West End Live.
Guy Wheatstone
Guy started ballet at age 4 with Joanne Bond. He joined us at stage school at 8 to work on other aspects of Performing Arts. At age 13 Guy was offered a full time place at the Royal Ballet School where he trained for six years, graduating 2008. Whilst with the Royal Ballet School, Guy performed in various works such as Giselle, La Bayadère. The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker and The Unwritten choreographed by Natalie Weir. In August 2008, Guy joined The South African Ballet Theatre where he is still in 2010 as a member of the Corps de Ballet he has appeared in Veronica Paeper's season of FNB's La Traviata-the Ballet in the roles of Pierre and Summer Friends. Guy returned to our school recently as a guest tutor for a master class.
Ashley Bentham
Ashley was one of the schools first students, he joined in 2000. He was an award winning Ballroom and Latin Dance Champion prior to joining the school. But left us as a very strong all round dancer. Following his graduation his credits so far have included: Two feature films as a Ballroom and Latin Dancer 'Young Victoria' and 'Miss Pettigrew lives for a Day'. Leading Dancer for the 'Simply Ballroom UK Tour'. Choreographer for an Urban Dance Troupe in UK. More recently Ashley has been working on the Royal Caribbean Cruises as Dance Captain and Lead Dancer round the World.
Jack Leonard
Jack started training with us at age 13, he was always a gifted musician and sang well, but we are delighted to say that he is very much a 'triple threat' these days. Recently Jack was the lead playing the role of Gregory in the TV Series 'Doctors' the role was very emotive. Jack has decided that Drama is where he wants to be heading for and with that aim we are delighted to announce that Jack secured in 2009 one of the 30 places at LAMDA college in London.
