“My daughter has been with Sandra Singer since she was 5, She had always loved performing for me at home and a friend suggested that she joined Sandie’s School. There is an audition process but it is very relaxed, so no matter what age they are made to feel like the audition is fun, but I understood it’s important for Sandie’s team to know that they really want to attend and be committed to the classes.   My daughter started doing drama, singing and dance on a Saturday but then found a love for more dance styles and started to take on other classes such as ballet and tap. The great thing about the classes at Sandie’s are the amount of professional working artists she has come to the school and teach the children, my daughter came home so many times telling me that she had been taught by someone from a West End show, or X Factor Choreographer, or a dancer that was recently a lead dancer for an International Artist or on the TV, this is so exciting for the children.   If your children have ever attended any other stage schools, you may have experienced the massive costs that come with being in a show, my daughter has been part of quite a few of the shows at Sandie’s and what I always loved is that there weren’t massive lists of costumes to buy from expensive dress makers, don’t get me wrong we did have to buy costumes but most often they were from a dance websites or we could find our own outfits from where ever we wanted (Primark etc) The School ethos is that it’s the Children who should sparkle in a show not just the costumes and this is true.   My daughter did take some time away from Sandie’s due to a serious operation which meant she couldn’t dance and then she suffered some serious bullying in her first years at senior school which really knocked her confidence, but a year and a half ago she asked me if she could return to Sandie’s which Sandie had said she could when she had fully recovered, this has been a turning point for her, the staff at Sandie’s knew about what had happened and have helped with getting her mojo back, she is happier and more confident and has recently felt like she could share her talent on social media, a massive step for her. Sandie’s is not just a stage school, it’s a family that nurture and care and I am grateful to them for helping to get my girly back. I’m sure your school will continue to produce talented, confident performers for many years to come. Thank you Sandie and everyone who works with you.”

“Sandra Singer is one of the most respected agents working with young performers in the business, with a reputation for enthusiasm, integrity and delivering on promises. As you would expect her Summer School is also a ‘top of the range’ experience allowing participants to learn from experienced professionals in a fun, positive and very practical environment. Beginners will go away inspired, and more advanced talents will leave having learned many new things and being much closer to achieving their goals”

“A good agent will make you feel comfortable, will put you up for the jobs you are right for, will always be looking for your next job and will be working for you. I am on the phone with my agent, Sandra, constantly, chatting about what’s coming in, what I’m up to, where I’m on tour, and what auditions are coming up. I love that – I think it is very important.”

I can’t believe my daughter has been a student at Singer Stage School for 12 years, she started a shy, quiet 7 year old and is leaving a confident and self motivated 19 year old! Over the years she has grown to love dance so much, adding more and more classes to her training. I feel the training she has received has been amazing, there are the strong constant weekly teachers, but also such talented guest teachers, introducing new styles to broaden the students knowledge of dance! The drama and singing is taught to an audition standard as well. The students have the opportunity to learn all aspects of drama, screen acting and how to cope with situations the industry may present them with. My daughter has also gained from some private Singing & Lamda lessons offered and I know RP has now been added to that list. A special mention has to go to Aimee Singer, who has taught Becky so much in all styles of dance over the years. There have been many who over the years have added to the person my daughter is today, but Sandie, Aimee, Ashton and Judith especially have all given Becky the confidence to follow her dream and help her believe she can make this industry her career. Thank you all so very much.

I’ve loved every minute of the last 12 years attending Singer Stage School! It’s given me the most amazing opportunities and provided me with incredible knowledge that I need to know for the future. We are so lucky to have performers from the industry of today come down to teach us weekly and pass down their skills. Most of all, the regular teachers that have taught me since day 1 have built up my confidence and without their support I wouldn’t be attending performing arts college today. Just wanted to say a big thank you to Sandie, Aimee and all at Singer Stage School.

Being at Singer Stage School since I was a kid, has taught me lots of dynamic skills and how to improve my confidence and performance as an individual. Attending Summer School yearly and Stage School weekly has gradually become a big part of my life, socializing with people that have become close friends and helping every aspect of ones personality for the performing industry, with talented guests covering dance, singing and acting filled with experience, to help you gain a strong mind set of whatever direction you want to go in; in the future. Ultimately I am very grateful for this place to exist and have the opportunity to attend. All thanks to Sandra Singer’s! x

Before I joined singers I wondered what I wanted to do when I was older, all my friends knew what they wanted to do apart from me. There was one thing I did really enjoy and that was acting. I heard that a friend of mine attended a drama school which had me intrigued, I asked for further details and he said that he went to Singer Stage School in Leigh. I got the courage and auditioned for the school and with much passion and effort I succeeded and got into the school. This was one of the best decisions I have made and to this day am enjoying stage school as much as I did when I first joined, from the talented guests to the productive lessons, Singer Stage School is a place to make friends and make a talent out of yourself.

Tracey from Billericay

Saturday morning is the only time I don’t have to moan at my two children to get out of bed! Everyone at Singer Stage School is really friendly and it’s a great opportunity to meet new people with a common interest. The tutors do their best to make all the Stage School classes fun – sometimes the students forget they’re learning things at the same time! It’s great for boosting confidence in young people and building strength of character. The students’ well-being is always a top priority, with an emphasis on positive praise to encourage them even more. Thoroughly recommended in our house!

Teresa from Benfleet

I have been really pleased with my daughter’s progress since joining Singer Stage School, she has developed in all aspects of her theatrical training. But especially pleasing is the fact that she is so happy to be there each week. The dancing training she is receiving is excellent, and I have no hesitation in recommending the stage school to parents. As a parent I also feel at last I am getting ‘value for money.’

Hi Sandie, Thanks so much for your thoughtfulness. I must say you are such a wonderful woman to work with. Out of all the dance schools Mofiyin has been to since she was 3 you have exceeded them all in all ways. It’s been a great pleasure for us and we as parent of Mofiyin have had a great time too. Mofiyin speaks so highly of you and all the teachers.

“I have attended Sandra Singer Stage School for two years, and in that time not only has it transformed me as a performer, but also as a person. Sandie and her exceptional staff are really committed to bringing out the best in you; it is a relaxed and friendly atmosphere reinforced by the talent and passion in the school for performing arts. Sandie is there every Saturday, happy to give one-to-one advice should you ask of it. Her insight to the industry prepared me well for college auditions. Now after gaining a place at one of the top Musical Theatre colleges Arts Educational, I can gladly say it is down to the amazing opportunities to improve myself at the stage school from its teachers plus meeting guest tutors that come from a variety of expertise in the industry. I feel very lucky to have been a part of the stage school that has motivated me to work hard, as I’m now rewarded with a brilliant college and a wonderful agent!”

Sally Belcher

“My son has been with Singers Stage School (of excellence) for 7 years and it has been the most amazing experience ! It’s hard to put into words how much he has gained and grown as a person over the years, from making amazing friendships to filming abroad in Prague for ikea and numerous other t.v commercials to being in a music video for Kodaline ! Tutors and special guests are incredible and it reflects in the students talent and passion It has truly fulfilled a dream I remember my son saying at 5 years old I want to be on the television , it made me chuckle never for one minute thinking that dream would come true.”

Craig and Tom in The Stage

“It’s a tough industry, so we are also both fortunate to have Sandra Singer as our mentor and agent to help steer us through things. In five years’ time, I see myself either as a dance captain for a show or in America discovering the dance scene there. I really want to take the route of creating pieces, shows, events. I am currently working as a swing in the Mamma Mia! international tour.”

Max Halton

I have enjoyed every minute of the last four years at Sandra Singers, as well as learning so much from industry professionals and regular teachers at the school, I’ve made some great friends. I’d like to thank the team at Sandra Singers, particularly Sandra and Aimee for encouraging and inspiring me to continue my journey into the performing arts industry. My confidence has grown so much over the past few years, and I owe that completely to everyone at the stage school, and for that I am unbelievably grateful – thanks for the memories!

Dear John - Bobbie & Maisie

“Although House of Anubis has brought me a lot of recognition, playing the lead role in Disney’s 101 Dalmations sequel gave me a taste of the limelight too. I worked with some very cool actors and was walking the red carpet at the LA premiere at age seven.”

Lucy Maria-Gill - The Stage

“From my experience, working in pantomime is also a chance to improve and nurture your own spirit and develop an energy you draw on to tackle many other types of show such as Chitty or Starlight Express, which I am looking forward to working on in Germany next year. As our producer says, we are the antidote to the six o’clock news, and any experience which helps me draw audiences out off their sofas and into the theatre has to be good from a career point of view.”

Lulu Ridley-Cook

I have been training at Sandra Singer Associates since I was sixteen-years-old and I can honestly say they have been some of the best years of my life. Joining at age sixteen, I was able to really appreciate what the school has to offer, having guest teachers in every week was not only inspiring but it kept you on your toes with choreography and different styles of dancing, singing and acting. The school have the most dedicated tutors I have ever met, they will do anything for you when you’re in need. When I left South Essex College, studying drama, I was in two minds in whether to go down the musical theatre or straight acting route. Or to even go to college, as I had lost my confidence. However, Sandra and my tutors didn’t let me give up on my dream, without them and their huge support, I wouldn’t have even had the confidence to audition for college, let alone get in with a 40% scholarship. I am so, so sad to be leaving this wonderful school and I just honestly can’t thank everyone enough for being so amazing and for being such a lovely second family to me.

Emma from Leigh-on-Sea

Dear Sandra, As this is Elsa’s last week with you as she is moving to Senior School. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you so much for all the wonderful work your school has done with Elsa over the last couple of years. She has blossomed with confidence as is now aspiring to become a singer-songwriter. A couple of months ago she took part in a local gang show with the guides. During the performance she got up in front of an audience of over 200 adults and sang a duet with her friend perfectly. She stood on the stage proudly and confidently singing in perfect pitch. I was so proud. I did not have a clue that she had become so stage present. She stood there like a real professional. When we came back to live in Southend, Elsa did not know a soul and was very shy. Your after school lessons were part of her assimilation into mixing with her peers. You also gave me a lot of encouragement as a single parent and I am very grateful. You have always spared your time with me and had the kids interest at heart. Thanks Sandy!

Echo News - Niamh Lewis

“A pupil at Singer Stage School in Leigh, Niamh’s training helped her prepare for the role in the long-running BBC One drama (Silent Witness) .”

Born to Perform

“It’s well reported that in the celebrity culture of today, children have aspirations of living their days out in the glare of the media; invariably dreaming of a job that is ‘famous’ rather than rewarding. However, there are youngsters that want to go into show business because it’s their passion to perform; they’re actually good at it. And it’s these bright stars that Sandra Singer – a highly successful agent from Leigh on Sea is interested in.”

After attending Sandra Singer Stage School for 2 years, I have learnt two lifelong things from Sandra: One, how to push myself to my limits and never fail to see my maximum potential. And that two, in order for you to do this, you must surround yourself with people who have a passion for the same craft that you do, and who encourage it within you. This is what Sandie does best. In such little time in the 11 years I have been going to performing art school, I have found most valuable what I’ve learnt from Sandie and her exceptional staff. Sandie truly cares for her students, tailoring their training to their own individual speed. The school’s commitment to stretch their student’s artistic ability, brings out the best in you, which I find is quite rare to see in industry professionals, and is heartwarming to see. Sandie’s truthful, candid passion for the arts really transformed me as a performer, and I feel incredibly fortunate that I was able to be a part of her school. The 2 hour drives back and forth was worth the knowledge you’ve given me. Thank you Sandie for being a wonderful mentor and agent, as welcoming me into the Singer Family!

I have been attending Sandra Singer since I was 8 years old and have had so many fantastic experiences and learnt so much, I can’t even imagine a childhood without Sandra Singer being part of it. The teachers have been amazing and everyone works together as a team. There is such a positive vibe and everyone encourages each other to do well and we all share in everyone’s successes – it’s like an extended family!

My daughter has attended Sandra Singer for the past 8 years and I can honestly say I have nothing but gratitude and admiration for Sandie and her team. Sandie herself is very much part of the school, is always around and will make time to have a chat with students and parents alike. She knows each and every one of the children and treats them as her own – my daughter practically thinks of her as a second mum! The level of teaching is outstanding, it’s no wonder as she manages to get some of the best teachers from within the industry! I cannot think of a better, more productive way for my daughter to have spent her teenage years but at Sandie’s classes!

When I joined Singer Stage School in 2010, I immediately fell in love with it. I had originally only did basic styles of dance like street and hip-hop but by going to Singer Stage School I was introduced to new styles like ballet, jazz and tap. The teachers are amazing! Having a new professional teacher come teach every week is so exciting! Singer Stage School has also helped guide me to decide what I want to do as a career and they give the best advice on the industry and colleges.

I attended Sandra Singer for 7 years and I loved every minute of it. The teachers are incredible and put so much time and effort into the school. I feel that’s where my training really improved over the years and I am so thankful to them. I made friends at the school I hope to have forever and even though I have gone away to university I know that my Sandra Singer family will always be there. Thank you Sandra and her team for the support over the years x

Fiona from Westcliff

My son had previously tried a couple of other stage-dance schools but didn’t enjoy them. However, from day one at Sandra Singer’s School, he settled in and looks forward to going each Saturday. In fact, he moans when it isn’t on during the holidays and says he misses all his friends. He has done really well there. The training is excellent and has already had a part in a major TV series and an Award winning West End show as the lead child. I can’t recommend it more highly

Clare from Westcliff

My girls first tried Sandra Singers Summer School in 2005 and enjoyed it so much they now attend every week. All the students and teachers have been really friendly and honest. It isn’t your average stage school all about ‘who’s better than who and how much money they can con you out of’. It is about the children learning whilst having fun and being encouraged – not pushed.

Hi Sandie, Just thought you might like to hear our exciting news. As you remember Melissa left Singer Stage School in March. Two weeks ago Melissa went to the Guildford School of Acting where she auditioned for the New York School for Film & Television for a 2 year scholarship. This week we found out that she has won a place out of 180 worldwide on their 2007 audition tour. This means that she will be leaving for New York in September where she will be staying in Manhattan for her two years of study (Matthew Fox “Lost” graduated from there). Melissa is over the moon and we thought you would like know! She learnt a lot whilst at Sandra Singers and it has certainly paid off.
